Season best at Solvalla

Two fifth places were crowned with a fourth place in the last of today's three STCC race at Solvalla. Lestrup Racing Team made his best weekend since the debut at STCC earlier this year, and it came home at Stockholm after a stable effort by Dennis Strandberg. Team manager Fredrik Lestrup was very pleased afterwards.
"The whole team has been working very hard this weekend and it feels great that we get good results," says Fredrik. Dennis did an incredibly good job today and took good positions in all three races and kept away som trouble which is not easy and very important on a course like this one.
Dennis was safe during the day and worked through the field in all three races thanks to smart and safe driving. He avoided problems and made passings when needed. The fourth place in the last race was also the best of the season.
"It actually feels really good,” says Dennis. The team has always worked with the car and improved it and it is noticeable. Now we're up there and nose. This is not a track i feel confertable on, but it went very well. It was very tough races, but I'm glad I managed to shine. It's all right, and I've really found it right in the team. Now we aim higher.
Fredrik Lestrup thinks that this weekend she has shown what he is capable of and promises that there is more to appear. But he can not really let the thought of how close they were to a podium this weekend.
"It is obviously a little frustrating that we are so close to a podium in all three races but do not get us some silverware to take home but it's a very strong weekend from us," Fredrik says. I absolutely think we've shown what we can and are capable of and that we're up there and fighting. Dennis does a great job for us and the whole team has really worn and delivered this weekend. That despite a bad start, we can drive us to a fourth place on a track like this shows that we have a very competitive material. Now let's go further!
With 32 points scored this weekend more than Dennis Strandberg doubled his score in the championship and he is now seven in total.
